On Monday, November 30th, Upper Kutz Barber & Style College of Greenville, MS traveled to Clarksdale, MS to compete against barbering and cosmetology schools across the state, to show off their craft during Coahoma Community College’s third annual “Barber Battle” competition.

 

Upper Kutz Barber & Style College had a triumphant win over other barber schools across the state taking home the Traditional Haircut Title Belt and bragging rights.

 

Students that participated in the event were Keanan Love (Traditional Haircut Champion), Andre Peoples, and Cornelius Harris. Instructor trainee Madge Jones was also in attendance to cheer on the students.

 

Overly excited owner and instructor James Preston said “Upper Kutz is a small school but we hit hard! We are going to put Greenville on the map in the hair world.”
